ToP Facilitation Methods

MNToPMNToP

Learning you can use immediately!

During these two days you will learn and practice the core methods developed by the Institute of Cultural Affairs, the Focused Conversation and the Consensus Workshop, and the Action Planning Process – an example of a process design using both of these methods.  ToP Facilitation Methods is taught by two mentor MNToP Trainers, each of whom brings extensive experience in using and teaching the ToP Methods locally and internationally.

Will I be able to use these methods 2 weeks after the course?

YES! Participants are given the opportunity to work individually and in small groups to see the ToP Methods in action and then be given the opportunity to practice facilitating with these approaches. You will be asked to select real world needs for facilitation from your work or community.  The Participants Manual is an invaluable life resource, with step-by-step planning tools and references for future use.. In addition to all of this, trainers will be available to you after the course to help bring ToP approaches into your environment.

In every MNToP course, participants connect with people from varying professions and sectors who are all exploring ways to design and facilitate in a ‘participatory mode, to run effective, efficient and collaborative processes. The courses themselves model this . Group Facilitation Methods is your introduction to the community of MNToP facilitators locally, and a window to the global ‘community’ of ToP practitioners – bringing participatory facilitation and its endless local applications into their practice.
